When do I need a legal for trade scale?
Your scale needs to be certified Legal for Trade when you are selling by variable weight (weight changes for each transaction).
This applies to food, metal, gold and anything else sold by variable weight.
It does not apply to prepackaged goods.
Many scales sold online come with no customer support and may not be approved for trade.
